Warm Bamboo Massage
Gently heated pieces of smooth bamboo are used for kneading tight muscles and rolling out tension.
As the soothing heat penetrates the muscles it triggers the body’s automatic relaxation response, making it easier to access those areas of underlying tension working out even the deepest knots painlessly. The results are incredible. Muscles get looser, joints become more flexible and you feel an amazing feeling of well being.
The massage incorporates warm bamboo, Swedish and Deep tissue strokes, including warm towels. Aromatherapy may be requested at no additional charge.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don’t get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Neuromuscular Therapy Massage Treatment
Treatment is combined with Deep Tissue and Swedish Massage Strokes.
Neuromuscular Therapy is the utilization of static pressure on specific myofascial points to relieve pain. This technique manipulates the soft tissue of the body (muscles, tendons and connective tissue) to balance the central nervous system. In a healthy individual, nerves transmit impulses (which are responsible for every movement, function and thought) to the body very slowly. Injury, trauma, postural distortion or stress cause nerves to speed up their transmission, inhibiting equilibrium and making the body vulnerable to pain and dysfunction. It is therefore necessary to stabilize low levels of neurological activity to maintain normal function and overall health.
NMT can be used for the following conditions, as well as many others: - low back pain and stiffness - neck pain and stiffness - headaches - repetitive motion injuries like carpal tunnel syndrome and temporomandibular joint syndrome - athletic injuries - problems with numbness and tingling in the extremities (arms, legs, hands, or feet)
Of course the primary effect of NMT - and the desired one - is pain relief. But other effects include improved flexibility and range of motion, better posture, more balanced muscle tone and increased energy.
So if you have problems with chronic pain or other symptoms that might be coming from muscle spasm, but other forms of massage have not helped much, you might want to consider neuromuscular therapy. Its intensity can be worth it.
